The window switches on old Chryslers are notoriously unreliable. Altho they were well made, they
have a design flaw that causes them to frequently not work - the contacts simply move straight
apart and together instead of sliding. This allows the carbonized metal from the electrical arcing
to build up on the surfaces that need to make clean contact.
There's no easy fix besides replacing them with better switches. Industrial quality switches are
expensive and might need internal modification to operate the 2 switches per window system,
so I just improved the old switches as best I could.
I also added a hi-beam switch to the panel because it's the perfect location for a frequently used
feature and the old foot switch was slow and decreased safety by momentarily taking my left foot
off the brake.
If you have an old Chrysler with these switches and want them repaired and modified, contact me.
It will be at least 100$ for the 4 switches and 250$ for a complete upgrade with hi-beam.
